Infusing a Caring Climate Into Your School

School counselors want to know how to teach young people how to care about others and prevent students from falling through the cracks. New students, sick or hospitalized students and students who lose a loved one often face challenges that, if not addressed in a timely manner, can cause the students to feel isolated and get behind in schoolwork. This can lead to absenteeism, dropping grades and/or discipline problems.
