Schools nationwide are reporting 30% to 50% of their students are failing two or more classes in the first semester due to virtual and hybrid learning. In many cases school counselors can use universal screenings to discover if there are mental health issues due to social isolation or technology, educational or motivational issues to best advocate and assist students. Focus on a school-counselor-led collaborative effort to provide structures and support to help students get back on track.
