Sponsored Webinar: Empower Futures: Get the Most Out of the ASVAB Career Exploration Program

January 17, 2024

Learn about the ASVAB Career Exploration Program (CEP), a no-cost career exploration tool available to all students in 10th grade and above. Many people are familiar with the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) as applied for military entrance and classification. Fewer are aware that the CEP leverages the same assessment to help students identify their skills and how they align with all careers and career pathways, including civilian occupations, college, work-based, learning and military options.

In addition to the ASVAB assessment, CEP also offers:

  • An interest inventory based on Holland’s RIASEC codes called Find Your Interests
  • An activity for identifying work values
  • A comprehensive career exploration database called the OCCU-Find
  • A variety of postsecondary planning tools and more

Learning Objectives:

After viewing this webinar, you will be able to:

  1. Differentiate between the different components of the ASVAB CEP
  2. Explain how the results of the ASVAB and FYI assessments can be used in the OCCU-Find occupational database to provide the basis for meaningful career exploration
  3. Describe the personalized career planning tools available to students, parents and educators, including Create a Plan, the portfolio, the calendar and classroom activities
